Questions for your supplier

If you're ready to make a difference to the welfare of farm animals, here are some questions to ask your supplier.

EGGS

Are the eggs they supply produced in a cage, barn or free-range system? If the eggs are produced in a cage system, strongly consider finding a supplier of cage-free eggs instead. If the eggs are produced in a barn or free-range system, do they carry appropriate certification from a reputable body like the RSPCA?

CHICKEN

Is the chicken they supply from a conventional system? If yes, then strongly consider finding a supplier of higher welfare indoor or free-range chicken. It's important that humanely produced chicken carries appropriate certification from a reputable body like the RSPCA.

PORK

Is the pork they supply produced from farms that use sow stalls and farrowing crates? If yes, then strongly consider finding a supplier of free-range, bred free-range or RSPCA Approved pork. If your supplier does source higher welfare pork products then do they carry trusted certification?
